Where it works

Bring a vessel out of the water for hull inspection, move it to a maintenance position, then return it to the launch area. The lifting arrangement is selected around hull shape, beam and sling support positions.

Mobile boat hoist

Technical introduction

Structure and operating principle

A mobile boat hoist lifts vessels with slings and transfers them between launch areas, maintenance positions and dry storage.

A mobile portal supports the hull through lifting slings instead of a normal point hook connection. Hull contact positions and sling forces depend on the vessel’s structure, centre of gravity and the selected lifting arrangement.

  • Sling-based hull support for lifting and lowering.
  • Rubber-tyred travel connects waterfront and landside service areas.
  • Model selection spans different vessel sizes and lifting loads.

Application and selection

Moves vessels between the launch area, inspection position and dry storage. The vessel’s approved lifting information and the waterfront structure are essential inputs alongside the boat hoist capacity.

Working method

  1. Before work, authorised personnel confirm the load and its centre of gravity, the permitted machine configuration, the route and receiving position. Complete the checks specified for the equipment, verify protective functions by the approved method and stop if a defect affects safe operation.

  2. Locate slings at the vessel-approved support positions, clear personnel from the vessel and lifting area, and take up load gradually while checking trim. Follow the authorised travel route and transfer the hull onto prepared supports before releasing the slings.

  3. After the task, place the load on stable supports and leave the equipment in its prescribed safe state. Record faults and abnormal events. Maintenance or jam clearance requires secure isolation of relevant energy, including stored hydraulic, pneumatic and gravitational energy.

Precautions and maintenance

Keep slings clear of propellers, shafts, stabilisers and unsupported hull areas. Check sling condition, quay edges, tyres, steering and brakes; no universal sling spacing or travel gradient can be inferred from a model name.

Inspection frequency, wear/discard criteria, lubrication, brake adjustment and replacement parts follow the supplied instructions and applicable local requirements. Only competent personnel may maintain the equipment; return to service follows the prescribed checks.

Configuration and standards

This is an equipment-selection and operating-principle overview, not a complete operator manual, lift plan or certificate. Verify rated load, duty, geometry, environment and protective functions against the nameplate, approved drawings and delivered instructions. Do not combine separate series maxima into one promised configuration.

Requirements follow the destination and installation, not the website language. China: determine the applicable GB/T references and statutory equipment obligations. EAEU destinations: check the applicable TR CU/EAEU regulations, amendments and conformity documents. English-speaking markets: select the relevant national rules; US OSHA and UK HSE references are not universal law. EU projects require their own applicable conformity assessment.
