European hoist double girder overhead crane
A European-type hoist trolley combines a double girder bridge with variable-frequency travel control.
The bridge travels along the building runways, the hoist or trolley provides cross travel, and the lifting mechanism raises the hook. These motions position a suspended load within the served bay. Hoist-type and open-winch arrangements have different maintenance access and headroom requirements.
KSSL has variable-frequency travel control in the retained description; this does not establish variable-frequency lifting or an automatic anti-sway function.
Suitable project applications include moving fabricated parts between machining, assembly and storage positions. Selection starts with the actual load spectrum, frequency of lifts, required hook coverage and building clearances; rated capacity alone does not define suitability.
Before work, authorised personnel confirm the load and its centre of gravity, the permitted machine configuration, the route and receiving position. Complete the checks specified for the equipment, verify protective functions by the approved method and stop if a defect affects safe operation.
Position the hook vertically above the load’s lifting point, secure the approved rigging and make a controlled trial lift. After checking balance and brake holding, move smoothly along the cleared route and lower onto stable supports before releasing the rigging.
After the task, place the load on stable supports and leave the equipment in its prescribed safe state. Record faults and abnormal events. Maintenance or jam clearance requires secure isolation of relevant energy, including stored hydraulic, pneumatic and gravitational energy.
Do not drag a load sideways, pull a trapped item free, or use a travel or hoist limit switch as the routine stopping control. The suspended load, lifting beam and rigging together must remain within the permitted load of every part of the lifting system.
Inspection frequency, wear/discard criteria, lubrication, brake adjustment and replacement parts follow the supplied instructions and applicable local requirements. Only competent personnel may maintain the equipment; return to service follows the prescribed checks.
This is an equipment-selection and operating-principle overview, not a complete operator manual, lift plan or certificate. Verify rated load, duty, geometry, environment and protective functions against the nameplate, approved drawings and delivered instructions. Do not combine separate series maxima into one promised configuration.
Requirements follow the destination and installation, not the website language. China: determine the applicable GB/T references and statutory equipment obligations. EAEU destinations: check the applicable TR CU/EAEU regulations, amendments and conformity documents. English-speaking markets: select the relevant national rules; US OSHA and UK HSE references are not universal law. EU projects require their own applicable conformity assessment.
